To The Front Te Papaioea youth music programme!

To The Front Te Papaioea is a four-day programme for youth aged 12–17 who identify as women, intersex, trans, takatāpui, queer, or gender diverse. It’s all about music, creativity, empowerment — and having a whole lot of fun. No musical experience needed!

At the programme they learn instruments, form bands, write original songs, and perform at a showcase, all guided by musicians, mentors and industry professionals. Alongside collaborative learning, participants take part in workshops about DIY merchandise, mindfulness, and performance skills. Each day they enjoy lunchtime performances from local artists.
