Welcome to Kaijuβs First ever tournament fundraiser, come through and show us what you got. All are welcome!
We will be hosting this event at the Hazelwood Rec Center (outside the rec) on Saturday, August 16th at 8AM.
REGISTRATION:
100$ per team ($20 off if you bring your own net)
Due Thursday, August 14th

Team Check In / Captains Meeting @ 8:15
First Game @ 8:45
Looking for 16 Teams for menβs bracket
(more teams = more cash prize)
1st: $500
2nd: $100
3rd: Medals
Max Players per Roster will be 12
Captains must submit a full list of their roster before Friday, August 15th
No Team Hopping
RULES:
!!ONLY 2 NON ASIANS ON COURT AT ALL TIMES!!
IF YOU BACK OUT THE DAY OF TOURNAMENT YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR MONEY BACK!
We will play this tournament using HMONG RULES
β No Doubles
β Serve cannot touch tape
β Overhand passes not allowed on serve receive
β No crossing middle line
β Feet and shoulder receives not allowed
β No oversets
β Must be grounded squared to net when pushing ball over
CLEATS ARE NOT ALLOWED!!
(Violation of this rule will result in player having to sit out)
!!PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN BALLS!!
POOLING WILL BE DECIDED ONCE TEAMS ARE FINALIZED
(if there are 16 teams we will have 4 pools)
β Taking the top 3 teams from each pool (subject to change)
SCORING:
β Round Robin games will be best of 2 sets of rally scoring to 21, win by 2 and capped at 23.
β Win 1 Set = 1 point
β Win 2 Sets = 3 points
β Playoffs will be SINGLE ELIMINATION
β Games will be best of 3 sets, first two to 21 with no cap, 3rd set to 15 FLAT
β Finals will be best of 3, sideout scoring to 15 with no cap
