When a body is found in a field of sunflowers near Roxanne Calloway’s home in the Manitoba Interlake, she goes to check it out. Normally, Roxanne would be running the RCMP detachment in the nearby town of Fiskar Bay but she is on maternity leave for six more weeks, and she is restless. When she discovers that the body belongs to Cooper Jenkins—retired Detective Sergeant with the City of Winnipeg Police and the man who saved her life year years ago—Roxanne can't help but be drawn in to the investigation. Roxanne’s partner, Matt, worries that this case is too close to home and that she is putting her life, her job, and her family at risk. But Roxanne has found an ally in Coop Jenkins’s daughter, Hailey, and they are determined to find his killer.
Raye Anderson is a Scots Canadian who now calls Manitoba's Interlake home. She has published five books in the Roxanne Calloway Mystery series and one in the Elspeth Laird Mystery Series.
