Kalthoumiyyat Trio, in a one-of-a-kind trio performance on Saturday July 26th at Kawalees, three unique artists present a special evening of Egyptian and Tunisian music: voice, oud, and riq. Known for their successful performances together of Om Kalthoum’s music, Najla Jaffel and Ali Omar El-Farouk will be joined by a special guest on riq, who will be coming to Montreal all the way from New York City!
This unique trio will present its own interpretations of some of Om Kalthoum’s greatest masterpieces, such as Enta Omri, Alf Leila We Leila, Daarat Al Ayyaam, and Lel Sabr Hedoud. They will also perform some of the most beloved songs from Tunisia.
