This Tuesday 29th July 10:30am - 1:30pm join us for a guided photowalk along the River Kelvin, where weβll explore local green spaces, map trees, and record nature stories.
Weβll collect data on trees - including height, girth, species, and soil conditions - and invite you to share your personal experiences in nature. Tell us about your connection to these green spaces and what makes them special to you.
We will be partnering with Gallant on the their new project CommuniMap which is an innovative new community science app developed through the GALLANT project at the University of Glasgow where youβll be able to record your thoughts and feelings on nature. **We also have a paper version of the app in the form of a workbook for those who would rather add spots this way.
We will be meeting at the cafe at the Botanics, Heading North along the Kelvin walkway and return to the Botanics for 13:30. The event is FREE for all and a packed lunch will be provided.
Reserve your place on our Eventbrite page now - https://www.eventbrite.com/e/nature-walk-with-friends-of-the-river-kelvin-and-gallant-tickets-1461815522579?aff=oddtdtcreator Or visit our news page, fork.org.uk/news/ for more information!
