Plant Identification Walk

Learning to identify plants can feel overwhelming — but it doesn’t have to be. In this hands-on class, we’ll explore key features to help you confidently recognize the plants around you: flower types, leaf shapes, and how they grow. After a short overview, we’ll head out on a gentle hike to put your new skills into practice using my favorite guidebook (and others you’re welcome to explore).

You’ll receive handouts covering the basics of plant ID and walk away knowing how to navigate a field guide on your own.

We’ll meet at the first gazebo on the left as you enter the park. Trails are generally clear but may be uneven in some spots. This class runs rain or shine, so wear your boots, bring water, and plan for 2–3 hours depending on class size.
