Discovering World War II in Southend and the Surrounding Area - Illustrated Talk

To mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, local history expert Brian Sandford will be re-presenting an illustrated talk at 11.30am on 16 August 2025 highlighting the legacy of the War in Southend and the surrounding area. This accompanies our free exhibition on the same theme which is running throughout the summer.

Brian is Secretary of the Shoebury Society and Managing Director of the Cart and Wagon Shed.
