A Buddhist Path through Anxiety, Addiction and Depression (led by Ven. Tony Beaumont)

How could advice given more than 2,500 years ago help us with anxiety, addiction or depression today? The unfortunate, simple truth is that we're still struggling with the same problems. Still making the same mistakes. Still searching for something that will take away the pain.

This short course, led by an experienced psychiatric nurse who is also a Buddhist monk, offers simple and practical teachings for getting your mind under control, or for supporting loved ones who are suffering with mental illness. You don't have to be a Buddhist, or have any experience in Buddhism, to attend.

Venerable Tony Beaumont first met the Dharma in Nepal and India in 1976, then trained and worked as a psychiatric nurse. Following ordination as a monk in 1991, he studied and taught for many years at monasteries in France and Australia. He has led retreats and courses at dharma centres throughout the world, as well as teaching in prisons and schools.

The course is held over 6 weeks on Tuesday and Thursday nights at 7pm (SA time, GMT+09:30), both in-person at Buddha House in Magill, SA and streaming online. Students are welcome to attend all sessions (in-person or online), or drop-in to any single session (in-person only).
