Clara Lin is a pianist and vocalist based in Vancouver, originally from China. Classically trained from a young age, she holds a BM in Jazz Composition from Berklee College of Music and an MM in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado. These experiences helped her grow alongside some of the best musicians and develop her versatility and skill. Clara recently released her single, "You and I." For Clara, music is more than just a career—it’s a way of life she can’t live without, and a language for connecting and spending time with friends. In this show, She will be leading a trio featuring her favorite friends—bassist Emilio Suárez and drummer Karl DeJong—for a night of soulful, joyful, and swinging music in tribute to Canadian jazz legend Oscar Peterson, described by CBC Music as “more than a jazz icon. He was a Canadian treasure whose music broke barriers and redefined excellence.”
Frankie's After Dark is a late night series at Vancouver's Premier Jazz Club taking place every Friday & Saturday night, and presented and curated by Infidels Jazz. All shows go from 11PM-1215AM and are $10.
