This 3 hour workshop addresses common peri/menopause symptoms of anger & irritation. We will explore natural & allopathic methods as well as yoga postures, breathwork, meditation, journaling & relaxation techniques to assist.
This three hour workshop focuses on alleviating the common menopause related symptoms of anger & irritability using yoga postures, breathwork, meditation, and relaxation techniques.
Menopause is a natural transition that every woman will move through. As we move towards menopause our hormone levels start to fluctuate. These changing levels in hormones affect every cell in the body including the brain, and can lead to excess heat in our body, manifesting as sudden changes in mood, irritability and "menorage."
These changes we face can cause fear and uncertainty as we wonder what is happening to us, We will work to find acceptance, soothe this fear, tension and stress, and calm the nervous system. You are not alone in this, we will explore techniques and options to alleviate these symptoms and minimize the fluctuations, and find equilibrium and calm.
You will be held in a women's circle with a caring community of women who are all moving through this rite of passage as well, enabling you to share your experiences and challenges with those who can relate.
We will also discuss the many tools and modalities now available, both allopathic and holistic, to help us navigate these sometimes turbulent waters and look at some of the leading practitioners in this field. Tea and nibbles will be provided.

All welcome. Suitable for all levels of ability and practise, no previous yoga experience is required. Bookings essential.
We will use yoga poses & props as needed, along with breathing techniques, acupressure, meditation practises and relaxation techniques to balance, calm, destress and relax body, mind and soul. We will discuss and explore the natural and allopathic options that are available as well as accessible tools and practises that you can take home to use, to navigate these changing waters, as needed.
Your teacher Megan has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. She is a Registered Senior Teacher with Yoga Australia, and is a certified Menopause Yoga Teacher, accredited by Yoga Australia and the British Yoga Wheel. Megan is also an accredited Hatha Yoga Teacher, and a Level 2 Kundalini Yoga Teacher.
Please let Megan know if you are pregnant or have any injuries so we can modify the practise for you. Dress in comfortable clothes that you can move freely in. Leave at least an hour gap between a large meal and coming to class.
Please bring a pillow case to class if you would like a hygenic bolster cover. You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat and 2 blankets to class, otherwise all equipment is supplied.

MG Yoga is a bespoke Yoga Studio, located in a secluded valley. Look for the christmas lights & prayer flags.
Please drive down our driveway. Plenty of off street parking and the studio are located at the bottom. We use a high quality HEPA filter in the studio.
