Follow the journey of a lifetime! 🗺️ Each year, thousands of salmon return to our local watersheds to produce the next generation of fish.
From May to September, adult salmon pass through the Ballard Locks on the final leg of their epic journey, returning to the rivers and streams in which they were born—join us and our volunteer naturalists to witness it for yourself!
On select Saturdays and Sundays through August 30, Seattle Aquarium naturalists will be stationed at the Ballard Locks from 10am to 2pm to help you spot spawning salmon and learn about all the things we can do to help this keystone species.
This is a free, family-friendly, drop-in program—no registration necessary. Learn more: https://www.seattleaquarium.org/explore-the-aquarium/programs/cedar-river-salmon-journey/
