Park(ing) Day

Join us in downtown Tacoma on Wednesday, October 1 for PARK(ing) Day 2025, in recognition of a one-day global event where artists, designers, students, and community members transform curbside parking spaces into interactive, temporary public places.
This year’s event takes place at 1900 S Jefferson Ave and along the Prairie Line Trail on the UW Tacoma campus (from 10 A.M. – 2 P.M.), where you’ll find creative, unexpected parklets that bring new life to the street—think interactive installations, green spaces, games, art, and more. It’s a chance to rethink what public space can be, even if just for a day.
PARK(ing) Day 2025 is proudly supported by Tacoma Venues & Events in partnership with UW Tacoma, and celebrates community, creativity, and the power of small-scale design to spark big conversations.
It’s fun, it’s free, and it’s all happening curbside in downtown Tacoma!
