Date: Thursday 18th September
Time: 7.00pm
Cost: Β£60.00 + Booking fee

Sheffield General Cemetery Trust is delighted to welcome Spicy Advice to the Samuel Worth Chapel for an immersive, multi-sensory deep dive into the world of flavour. This playful and intuitive workshop invites participants to explore how we taste, smell, and experience food by using all five senses. Beginning with tasting experiments inspired by food development labs, the session helps tune your palate and develop a personal flavour vocabulary through spices, herbs, and fermented foods – all while sparking conversation around memories, seasonal ingredients, and foraging.

As the evening unfolds, participants will map flavour combinations, explore the basics of fermentation, and even taste with their ears during a lively β€˜music round’ – matching songs with textures and tastes to inspire their own kraut creation. With a strong focus on sensory exploration, community dialogue, and practical cooking inspiration, this event offers a fun, hands-on journey through the art and science of flavour – and you’ll go home with your very own music-inspired ferment to enjoy.
