Poetry Open Mic with Phylisha Villanueva

Calling all poets and spoken-word artists! Join Westchester County Poet Laureate Phylisha Villanueva in the HRM Courtyard for a vibrant community open mic where the line between performer and audience disappears. Experience a dynamic mix of sound, words, rhythm, and movement, featuring Yonkers–based artist Katori Walker, author Jive Poetic, and Family Meal Open Mic creator Maria Isabel Alvarez. Plus, you won’t want to miss DJ Mad Vibes or the dynamic sound artistry of Jonathan “Duv” Zaragoza!

Spots are limited—sign-up starts at 2pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Each poet may share one piece, up to three minutes. Don’t miss the post-show book signing with Jive Poetic (cash only). Come early, and come ready to spread some joy!
