Lugh's Feast ( Our Lughnasadh Festival Gathering)

Our community follows the Celtic Wheel of the year which is guided by the sun and the seasons. Lughnasadh is the festival of the first harvest, it is celebrated on August 1st, and marks the beginning of the harvest season.

Lughnasadh, or Lammas, marks the first of three Celtic harvest festivals. It is the midpoint between the Summer Solstice and the Autumn Equinox. This is a time of abundance when we are in the height of the summer season. It is a time to honour nature, reflect, and show gratitude for Mother Earth’s bounty. That which gives us life.

We invite you to join us as we celebrate Lughnasadh, the festival of the first harvest. This will be a time of celebration, community and communion with each other, nature, and the Divine.

We will meet in the Gazebo at Tyndale Park to share a feast and give thanks together for the beauty, blessings and bounty which sustains us.

**Meal will be vegan friendly **

For the promise of harvest
contained within a seed
we thank you.
For the oak tree
within an acorn
The bread
within a grain
The apple
within a pip
The mystery of nature
gift wrapped
for us to sow
we thank you.
