We're delighted to invite sound artist and instrument inventor Alan Jackson to the Ecomusicology Project on Sunday 20 July at 2pm, for the inaugural music event in our newly built roundhouse!

Alan is putting together an experience "halfway between a sound-bath and an improvisational performance", where he'll invite the audience to engage in a different way.

It will be a lie-down sound experience, so please bring a blanket or yoga mat with you!

Free entry but donations are appreciated.

"The birds, animals and plants of Stanmer Park will be participating in a performance exploring the every day sounds of human domestic life.

Healing Geometries: bringing the inside outside and the outside in.

We are inviting the birds, animals, plants of Stanmer Park to participate in a performance exploring the every day sounds of human domestic life.

These indoor sounds will be played, re-interpreted, brought to and merged with the birds', animals' and plants' outdoor environment.

Humans are also invited to listen.

The humans' participation as listeners will be as important to the performance as the participation of the birds, animals and plants as sound makers.

Can we heal our relationship with the world and each other using place and space?

In this performance we will have the chance to communicate and reflect.

The performance will begin just after the sun passes its highest point and will be finished well before evening chorus.

There will be a bird seed reception on the lawn afterwards.
Instructions for humans wishing to attend:

The performance will start at 2pm and last around 45 minutes to an hour. Bring a picnic blanket, yoga mat or similar so you can lie down comfortably and enough clothes to keep warm.
