Come along for a scenic coastal walk and discover the iconic St. Maryβs Lighthouse β a part-time island only reachable between the tides via a short causeway.
πΊοΈ About St. Maryβs Lighthouse:
Completed in 1898, the lighthouse served ships until 1984 and is now a unique visitor centre.
Climb 137 steps to the top for spectacular views of the North East coast β or enjoy live video views from the ground level.
Explore exhibits on the history of the lighthouse and the wildlife of the surrounding Nature Reserve, which features rockpools, clifftop grassland, beaches, and new wetland habitats.
The island is a popular spot for viewing grey seals, especially during low tide! π¦
The gift shop and cafΓ© offer drinks, souvenirs, toys, books, and more.
Accessible paths make it easy for visitors with prams or wheelchairs to explore.
