Audition for The Spanish Tragedy, by Thomas Kyd! As one of the first blockbusters of the English renaissance stage, The Spanish Tragedy defined the modern revenge tale. Now it’s coming right here to South Bend, Indiana, at The Well Coffee House. Join us for the play that started it all, presented by AMP Theatre Company. This is the third production from AMP Theatre Company, a volunteer-based community theatre, following Galatea earlier this season and Amadine and Mucedorus last fall.
All are welcome to audition, whether or not you’ve strode the stage before. No preparation needed. Join us on either August 25 or August 26 at River Park Library at 6:30pm, and we’ll provide some short scenes for you to read and play with alongside a scene partner or two.
Rehearsals for the cast will begin in September and will run three weeknight evenings per week, and each actor will get some of those evenings off from rehearsal. Performances are at 7:30pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 3:00pm on Sundays, November 7–16.
