🍎 Mushroom identification basics
🔍Key edible & toxic species in the area
🌱 Sustainable and ethical foraging tips
Important info:
⏰Date: Saturday 26th July| Meet at 9am
📍Where: TBA (Cape Town & surrounds)
🚶Duration: Approx. 3 hours
Spaces Limited! Book early to secure your spot.
Includes:
✅Knowledgeable-led walk & ID session

What to Bring:
-A basket / container to gather mushrooms
-Pocket / small knife (if you have one)
-Raincoat (if rain is forecast)
-Good outdoor walking shoes

🌿 Please Note:
Foraging is a seasonal and unpredictable activity. While we’ll be exploring excellent mushroom habitat and teaching you how to identify them, we can't guarantee what we’ll find on the day—sometimes the forest is abundant, and sometimes nature keeps her secrets. The learning, connection to nature , the likeminded community and experience are always part of the adventure!
Rain may also occur as we are foraging in Winter. We may postpone the date if there are heavy amounts of rain but light rain shouldn't be a problem. Remember to pack your raincoats!
💬 You will be added to a Whatsapp group chat a few days before the forage to confirm the finer details.
See you in the forest!
