Join writer, zine-maker, and visual artist Jacinta Bunnell (jacintabunnell.com) and Jasper Richmus (jasperrichmus.com) for a drop in ZINE MAKING OPEN HOUSE!
Running with our exhibit, SUMMER'S LUSCIOUS PARTY, Upstate Art Weekend (upstateartweekend.org) and our pop-up ZINE LIBRARY this drop in open house will give participants the opportunity to design, create, and take-home copies of a small zine!
Zines are small D.I.Y. magazines about anything—lists, letters, true stories, fiction, how-tos, call-ins, gripes, etc. They are an excellent vehicle for people of all ages to showcase their interests, art, and passions. During this open house, visitors will have an opportunity to design and create small zines to take home, allowing people to express themselves, discover their voices, and unleash creativity!
This event is FREE and DONATIONS are welcome. Open to the public ages 8+

Come with an idea in your head about what you want to make or come with a blank slate! All abilities and levels of experience welcome! We will guide you if you want support. The idea is to make something in community!
