The Blue Town Heroes is a Canadian Blues band with strong Jazz and Funk influences. The group was formed by guitarist Fabio Dwyer and singer Dan Munro. They were later joined by Gary Krantz on bass and Armando Piluso on drums. The band performs a mix of Blues and Jazz standards with fresh arrangements, along with original material—primarily from Dwyer’s two solo albums, Downtown Streets (2003) and Central Station (2010). Dwyer has been gaining recognition in Canada and internationally due to his inspiring return to the stage after a successful battle with Parkinson’s disease. He is now a prominent speaker advocating for neuro-stimulation treatment.
Mike Nagoda is a Blues and Roots musician as well as a social rights activist. He was the Toronto Blues Society Talent Search winner in 2020 and was mentored by legendary Canadian bluesman Brian Cober—who invented the art of double slide guitar—until Mr. Cober’s passing in 2016. Mike proudly carries on Mr. Cober’s legacy and brings his brand of soulful, queer Blues and Roots music to audiences everywhere. He has released two albums of original compositions: Parliament (2014) and Outside the Box (2022). He is currently working on his third album, Conspiracy!
Rod Rodrigues is a Brazilian-Canadian guitarist, music teacher, and songwriter with a remarkable career. Rod has released three solo albums of original compositions: The First Step: Introduction (2010), Tales of a Changing Life – Part 1 (2022), and Tales of a Changing Life – Part 2 (2024).
