FREEDOM IN FORM
Special Workshop – Saturday, July 5, 3:45 PM
Discover the deeper intelligence of tango in Freedom in Form, a focused 75-minute workshop where we’ll explore four intricate tango forms—composed from the vocabulary of Tango Foundations I, Tango Basics, Ochos, Giros, Ocho Cortado, and the 8-Step Basic. These forms are more than steps—they are flowing structures that, once embodied, unlock connection, clarity, and a sense of freedom in partnered improvisation. Through guided repetition and detailed work, both leads and follows will learn to transition between figures with ease, quieting the analytical mind and enabling a state of flow. The workshop will be followed by Tea & Tango Practica (5–8 PM), where dancers can apply what they've learned, ask questions, and enjoy the pleasure of shared refinement.
Pre-Registration required. Solo dancers welcome, though we strongly encourage early registration and pairing in advance to help us balance roles.
