Sunday, July 20 2-3:30p
Community Room (upstairs) at Food City,
920 State of Franklin, Johnson City

Constitutional norms--the important but unwritten practices that guide the behavior of government institutions and officials and shape how the written constitution is interpreted and applied-- have changed.

How have they changed? How do we understand current changes and challenges to constitutional norms? Which ones merit well-founded concern and which concerns are exaggerated or alarmist?

Join us as we clarify the debate and explore the evolving landscape of constitutional norms.

Our speaker will be Dr. Colin Glennon. Dr. Glennon is Chair of the ETSU Department of Political Science having joined the faculty at ETSU in 2013. He teaches courses in public law and American politics while his research focuses on judicial behavior and judicial legitimacy. He has published multiple articles that explore the relationship between courts and the public and is curious to see the changes therein as the result of some many changing political dynamics. Dr. Glennon resides in Johnson City.

Light refreshments will be served. Come and bring a friend! And remember, we do welcome men to our League, including in leadership positions. We keep the name because of its historical roots.

We live-stream our public events on our Facebook page and post the video to our YouTube page.
