Carnegie-Stout Public Library will show the movie "The Brutalist" on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the Aigler Auditorium on the Library's 3rd Floor. Admission is free, but seating is first come, first served.
Directed by Brady Corbet and starring Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, and Guy Pearce, the historical drama "The Brutalist" (2024) follows a Jewish-Hungarian architect who flees post-war Europe and settles in Pennsylvania where a wealthy industrialist recognizes his talent for building. The movie won three Academy Awards, including Best Actor for Adrien Brody.
This 3 hour 35 minute long movie is rated R for "strong sexual content, graphic nudity, rape, drug use and some language." Closed captioning or subtitles will be turned on.
