Create Playdate

Featuring our mobile, in-gallery art cart, Create Playdate offers young artists a hands-on maker experience during their visit. Participation is always free with general admission and open to all.

The statue Columna interminable features motifs associated with the Paracas (Peru), Aztec (Mexico), and Hohokam (Arizona) peoples. Betsabeé Romero reflects upon patterns of migration that long predate current geographic boundaries. Inspired by this sculpture, visitors will use scratch art paper to create their own patterns that reflect the past, present, and future.
