CityArtist Saina Heshmati explores the simplicity in her own life through rich textile drawings, bringing attention to the freedom of depicting simple moments in a chaotic world.
Saina Heshmati is a Seattle-based visual artist and designer whose practice centers on drawing, photography, and graphic design. Born and raised in Tehran, she spent the first 23 years of her life immersed in Iran's rich artistic culture. In 2010, she moved to France to study Fine Art at the Γcole des Beaux-Arts in Rennes. Since relocating to Seattle in 2013, Saina has continued to explore themes of identity, memory, and cultural transformation through her art.
The CityArtist Grant supports Seattle-based individual artists/curators in the research, development, and presentation of creative work.
