A Workshop in Healing, Presence, and Reconciliation
For Christians and others longing to speak, listen, and live with greater truth and compassion.
Step into the sacred space between silence and speech.
Join us for a transformative workshop where the ancient words of Euripides' "The Trojan Women" meet the timeless wisdom of Christian spirituality.
Through guided vocal and embodiment practices, you will learn to reclaim your voice as an instrument of truth, presence, and healing—not just on stage, but in your relationships, your faith journey, and your everyday encounters.
In This Workshop, You Will:
-Prepare a monologue from Euripides' "The Trojan Women"
-Learn embodied voice techniques rooted in the skills of presence
-Rehearse and perform monologues from The Trojan Women, as well as group activities for developing your skills of working in ensemble with presence and connection
-Participate in numerous exercises including the use of masks
-Explore how presence—of body, breath, and word—can heal fractured relationships and inner wounds
-Practice truthful communication that builds bridges instead of walls
-Encounter performance not as entertainment, but as sacred offering
-Explore the ancient Greek practice of lamentation
Why The Trojan Women?
In this timeless play, the women of a destroyed city grieve, resist, and speak truth in the ruins of war. Their voices echo our own—voices of trauma, displacement, and longing for wholeness.
This workshop invites you to embody lament as prayer, and to discover the healing power of shared story.
For Whom Is This?
-Artists, actors, seekers, teachers, medical practitioners, and anyone who values the intersection of theology, creativity, and healing
-Christians and others seeking spiritual and emotional resolution, renewed presence with self in an era of disconnection
-Anyone longing to heal wounds in relationships or across divides
This workshop is led by Molly Caliger, a Patsy Rodenburg Associate voice coach, DHom (doctor of homeopathy), and certified midwife. She holds a diploma in Orthodox Christian Studies from the Orthodox Institute for Christian Studies (UK), and a BA in anthropology and Russian from the University of Iowa (1983). She is director of Tropos School of classical homeopathy and midwifery. She founded The Russian Birth Project (a midwifery internship for Americans in Russian maternity hospitals) from 1992-2005. She currently teaches voice at the New York Acting Studio in Athens, Greece. She continues her private homeopathy practice as well as directing her homeopathy school while incorporating Present Voice work. Molly has been leading workshops in The Present Voice since 2019, in Russia, Greece, and the US, placing special emphasis on The Trojan Women since 2022.
