Bat Night Talk & Walk at Mersehead

BOOKING ESSENTIAL (limited spaces)

Bats are often misunderstood and less well known as birds are. Yet, they are pretty awesome and useful creatures.

Join us for an evening of discovering more about bats here in South Scotland and have a go at identifying them. We will also cover ways that bats can be helped and tips to try at home.

This event will begin with a short illustrated talk, before going out to find some with bat detectors and infra-red camera. We will provide a small number of detectors (and IR camera) but please bring a torch if you have one. The walk will mostly be on a surfaced trail, with short detours onto grass paths.

Please note, as the reserve location is prone to flooding, we ask that all individuals/groups attending provide a telephone number, so we can notify you in advance if the event is cancelled. Families welcome (though not suitable for early years). Walk will take place along wheelchair accessible routes.

COST: £5 to £13.50
