Date:12th July

“স্বাস্থ্য সখী” is an ambitious project to raise reproductive health awareness among underprivileged women in rural and slum areas of Bangladesh. But before we reach the communities, we begin with you the future doctors and changemakers.

What’s Phase 1?
Phase 1 is an intensive two-week training program for 30 selected medical students, designed and delivered by expert faculty from the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, SSMC Mitford.

Topics include:
Menstrual hygiene and reproductive health
Cervical and breast cancer: pathogenesis, symptoms, and screening
Hands-on self-breast examination training
Communication strategies to educate communities effectively

Why It Matters
In Bangladesh, preventable reproductive health conditions are claiming lives, simply due to lack of awareness and delayed diagnosis. This is your chance to be trained, evaluated, and empowered to bridge that gap. first as a learner, and soon as a leader in your community.

What Happens After Training?
Top participants will form activity teams to lead the next phase: community outreach. You’ll play a key role in educating women, promoting cancer screening, and busting dangerous myths.
This is not just training, it’s the first step in a real, sustainable movement.
