Write in community! Sponsored by the Northern Arizona Book Festival, local poets and writers will teach an accessible poetry workshop on the lawn of the Downtown Flagstaff-Coconino Public Library! Each workshop focuses on a topic or form and challenges you to write on the spot in community with other writers. Please bring a blanket or folding chair to sit on, writing materials, and yourself! There is no age limit and we welcome all writers at any level.
Embracing Your Inner Child through Pantoum Poetry
Participants will use a series of writing prompts using childhood memories as inspiration to create their own Pantoum Poem
Ms.AyeVee is an award-winning Afro-latina Literary Artist from Las Vegas, NV and the
2024-2026 Clark County, NV Poet Laureate. Her work has been featured by the legendary All Def Poetry, Write About Now & Button Poetry. Ms. AyeVee has also been recognized by Las Vegas Book Festival, NPR & The US Congress for advancing the cause of literacy & extraordinary literary achievement. In 2022 Ms. AyeVee was selected as an official TEDx speaker for Las Vegas.
