🌼Qigong is an ancient practice which is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. It combines a standing sequence of slow flowing movement, controlled breathing, and meditation to promote health, well-being and energy flow. It aims to cultivate and balance "qi," which is often translated as "life force" or vital energy.
🧘Yin Yoga is a gentle and meditative practice that encourages stillness and focus.
Poses are held for extended periods, allowing for deeper stretching and release of tension in the connective tissues and encourages releases of blockages along the Meridian/ Myofascial lines of the body
We practice Yin Yoga on the floor and use props like blankets, blocks, and bolsters to support the body and make poses more comfortable and accessible.
Yin Yoga is known to improve flexibility, reduce stress and anxiety, promote circulation, and deepen relaxation.
💐The sessions will be sprinkled with Somatic Therapy. Movements that enhance body awareness, promote mind - body connection. Techniques you can take into your daily lives to regulate your nervous system, release physical tension and encourage relaxation.
