Join Roaming Rich on a tour of the Columbus Circle Historic District. The neighborhood of Columbus Circle is truly unique to Janesville. The design of the street as a circle, interrupts the largely square and rectangular street grid. The use of the circle was part of a new movement in the early 20th century to create “garden” suburbs and houses built for a modern lifestyle that included garages for new cars. The architecture of Columbus Circle is a mix of old world and new with fairytale inspired looks, revival styles and even post WW11 modern styles.
