Come experience the exotic dynamic power of the finest didgeridoos and Native American flutes in the land. With traditional meditative and energetic avant-garde styles, a 40 minute performance with Vachu Adu will be followed by an hour of teaching, in which YOU can play Machu's fantastic instruments, or bring your own. A special shout out to Arcana Handpans in CO Springs for featuring and providing accompanied percussive instrumentation.
Techniques to be covered:
- Didge - history, drone basics, diaphragm rhythms, vocals, animal sounds, polyphonic, tongue scales, percussion, soft and loud playing, clarity/tonality
- Flutes - history, scales, smooth and staccato, melody, breathing/vibrato, drone flute, listening, accompaniment
