Weeding Wednesdays

Join us this summer for “Weeding Wednesdays”, when anyone can meet in the Pollinator Patio (between CC & Library) over the lunch hour to pull weeds on the campus of Inver Hills Community College.
We may pull weeds in the patio, or meet there to walk to another space together. To participate, you don’t need to bring anything but yourself. However, it’s recommended to bring gloves, bags, water, and a hand-weeding tool.
This initiative supports pollinator conservation because the less pesticide, herbicides, and insecticides we spray in our environment, the more we can help prevent the disruption of soil microbiomes and contamination of nearby habitats and pollen plants. Hand weeding also allows us to select the removal of invasive plants while leaving beneficial ones.
