Calling all intermediate and secondary school students who ride mountain bikes! The Schools MTB Fest is an opportunity for you to compete with your peers and enjoy the sport.
Covering two days – 4-5 October 2025 – it includes cross-country (XC), enduro (END), and downhill (DH) events on a wide selection of purpose-built MTB trails.

Getting to the event
Arapuke MTB park is located approx. 15km from Palmerston. Access to the park, TCP and event hub is via Scotts Road. Additional parking is located at the end of Kahuterawa Road the north of the park.
Directions to Arapuke Forest Park from Palmerston North Square via Scotts Road. Head away from the Square down Fitzherbert Ave, crossing Fitzherbert bridge. Keep right and head along Tennent Dr past Massey University. Keep on Tennant Dr for 11km past Linton Military Camp (on your right) and turn left onto Scotts Rd. Once on Scotts Rd, head Southeast for about 10km until you reach Arapuke Forest Parks Top Carpark. Please note: The top two-thirds of Scotts Road is narrow and gravel. It is suitable for all vehicles but please drive slowly and carefully.
