Fancy auditioning for The Kings Speech?
Based on the academy award winning 2010 film, this is the story of how King George VI, thrust unexpectedly into the role of monarch, overcame his fear of public speaking with the help of Australian speech therapist Lionel Logue. Seidler initially researched the play in the 1970s, but it was the wish of The Queen Mother that the story remain untold until after her passing. This is an inspirational tale that offers a slice of history as well as inspiration for now.
Open auditions will be held at Southport Little theatre on Tuesday 15th July at 19.30.
