We’re back after our August break, with a late-summer special at AComedy Club on Thursday 4th September.
Headlining the show we have UK Comedy Circuit and Edinburgh Fringe legend, Carey Marx. Writer and star of BBC Radio 4’s ‘Intensive Carey’, twice winner of Best International Show at the New Zealand Comedy Festival and Leicester Comedy Festival Best Show nominee, Carey has been described by The Guardian thus “awkward misfit Marx has a genius for the unexpected and hilarious left turns’. Other reviews include “such a devilish grin that you can only admire him for being such a magnificent bastard” The Scotsman and “the mocking stand and unremitting march of cold logic will reduce you to howls of laughter” The Daily Mail.
Supporting Carey, we have all the way from Lafta Republic, comedy’s favourite tyrant, President Obonjo. and the considerable talents of Joe Jacobs, Stella Grahan and Gary Sansome. All shambolically held together by resident MC Paul Merryck.
Hosted as always at our wonderful venue ACanteen, in the heart of Chelmsford City centre, where you can enjoy a great meal and/or a few drinks from the brilliant bar, whilst watching some of the finest comedians in the UK. 5 of them to be exact!
Tickets are only £18 a pop with no fees because they’re rubbish.
