Our Outdoor First Aid course provides the essential knowledge and practical skills to manage emergency first aid situations in outdoor and remote environments. Whether you are working professionally outdoors or heading into the hills for fun, this 16-hour, hands-on course prepares you for a range of incidents, from minor injuries to dealing with multiple casualties in remote locations.

Combining theory, practical sessions, and outdoor scenarios, the course is designed to build both competence and confidence. You will learn how to assess situations, make decisions under pressure, and respond effectively – even in challenging conditions. By the end, you’ll be equipped with the skills needed to manage emergencies safely and effectively, no matter where you are.

Our lead trainer brings 35+ years of experience- including 18 years as a medic, search manager, and training officer dealing with emergencies in Mountain Rescue - plus extensive mountaineering and mountain biking leadership.

- Pre-requisites - Participants must be aged 16+ and have a level of ability to practically demonstrate required first aid techniques. Please note that all candidates must attend the full 16 hours of the course.
- Number of Spaces: Up to 10 participants. If the course is fully booked, you can join the waitlist to be notified if a space becomes available or if we add additional dates due to demand.

What to bring:
- Weather-appropriate outdoor clothing (waterproofs are essential)
- Notepad and pen, or a laptop/tablet
