CANADIAN PREMIERE!
CAST & CREW IN ATTENDANCE on July 16th!
Q&A Moderated by Nathanael Chadwick, star of Self Driver!
Blind Cop (George Fearing) was once the symbol of justice and heroism in his ailing city, foiling criminals without even needing to see them. Until his partner is gunned down on the job. Now a shell of his former self, Blind Cop slips into miserable alcoholism and reckless misconduct until a drunken car chase turns into a new lead about his partner's murder. Fueled by his need for revenge, and desperately short on allies, he turns to an optimistic young man (Isaac McKinnon) who still sees him as a hero. The quest for answers and retribution quickly spirals out of control as Blind Cop’s vigilantism leads them both down a bloody path they may never be able to walk away from.
This kickass indie film is a sequel to a movie that doesn’t exist. Instead, it functions as a spiritual sequel to the over the top hyper-macho films that defined 80’s action cinema. Blind Cop 2 is simultaneously an authentic love letter and a satirical criticism of the American vigilante action hero. Created by a small team of dedicated filmmakers with a small budget over the course of seven years, this film is the ultimate proof that you can make a real movie with your friends if you’re completely unwilling to give up.
