FSC Mental Health Round — Remembering Tom Wood

Round 10 will be dedicated to past player Tom Wood.
Tom played for FSC between 2013 and 2019, across all divisions of the club. In 2017, Tom was FSC’s Div 6 top goalscorer and was a classic number 10 but also not afraid to throw on the gloves and GK if required.
Not only was ‘Wood’ a highly skilled player — great with both feet and a natural competitor, he was a charismatic presence with amazing banter and his own unique sense of humour.
Tom was also a big advocate for mental health, regularly checking in on his mates and those around him. He would share his own experiences and take the time to listen to others.
As a club and community, FSC want to spread the same message as Tom, and advocate for mental health awareness and discussion.
On Saturday 5th of July we will be remembering Tom Wood while raising funds for Beyond Blue as part of our mental health round.
All games are being played at home, and all members of our community are invited to attend.
A medal will be presented to the FSC Man of the Match from the First team fixture — The Tom Wood Medal. A perpetual shield will be displayed in the clubrooms with the winner of this medal each year.
Donations can also be made to Beyond Blue via: https://fundraise.beyondblue.org.au/tomwoodmemorialround
