Sketching workshops for children
Join us for a sketching workshop using our current exhibition, The Ever Changing, Changeless Sea as our focus. There will be a variety of sea related objects available for you to look at and you can also take inspiration from our exhibition and displays.
We aim to find confidence using only the basic materials of pen, pencils and crayons and then from here to take our basic materials anywhere to do a quick sketch. We will take time to observe an object, become confident in drawing a quick image, understand our natural style, experiment with aspects like which size of paper suits us best with nothing as right or wrong.
1st workshop 10am-12 pm and 2nd Workshop 2pm-4pm
No prior experience needed. All equipment will be provided.
Free, no need to book.
Parents and carers will need to stay with children.
This activity would be suitable for children aged over 3.
