Course Overview
Our Level 1 Award in Forest School Ethos and Principles is a nationally recognised qualification designed to introduce you to the key concepts behind Forest School. This three day course is perfect for anyone interested in nature-based learning, child development, and outdoor education.
What You’ll Learn:
The history and principles of Forest School
The benefits of outdoor play and holistic learning
The role of the adult in a Forest School setting
Basic safety and risk awareness outdoors
A taster of practical Forest School activities (e.g., shelter building, natural crafts)
Access to our online learning platform for uploading work.
Who Is This Course For?
Teachers, early years practitioners, and teaching assistants
Parents, carers, and volunteers
Youth workers and community educators
Anyone curious about Forest School or outdoor learning
Course Details:
Duration: 2.5 day face to face (approx. 8 hours)/ half a day online learning
Location: Norris Green Park, Liverpool
Awarding Body: AIM Qualifications
Minimum Age: 16+
No prior experience required
