‘Rock the Block’ Art Fair will take place on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at the Holter Museum and adjoining N. Jackson street. This end of summer celebration will feature booths from local artists selling their hand made crafts, fun summer games, a silent auction, food trucks, and unique hands-on art activities where attendees can create one of a kind art pieces to take home! The evening will be capped with a street dance with music provided by a local live band.
The festivities will kick off with a free re-dedication ceremony of the iconic 'Red Shift Rocker' sculpture located on the southeast lawn of the Holter block. 'Red Shift Rocker', by local artist Richard Swanson, was commissioned by Joan Holter in 2005. This summer will mark the 20th anniversary of the sculpture. To commemorate this piece of art, a new slab of concrete will be poured, raising the sculpture 18 inches. The sculpture will also receive a new coat of paint, protecting the sculpture from the weather for another 20 years, enhanced lighting and new interpretive signage!
Ticketing details to come.
