Shalom Spirituality Center
Who do we need to be? What do we need to do?
Join us for a weekend of exploration into how we can best respond to the needs of our time and wake up to our innate resilience and creative power. We will tap into the “Divine Impulse” within to create a sense of grounded optimism and inspired action. Applying Joanna Macy’s transformational process work, called “Active Hope,” our time together will include personal reflection, wisdom-sharing, embodied rituals, and multimedia input.
Jan Stocking, a co-director and founding member of Rockhaven Ecozoic Center, has over 23 years of experience ministering in educational institutions in the Greater Detroit area. Her journey led her to Rockhaven in 2003, where she discovered her passion for working with circles of women, promoting integral ecology, and working towards multiculturalism. Jan is a member of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas.
Diza Velasco is a co-founder of Rockhaven Ecozoic Center. Gifted in ritual, art, and play, she lends her spirit to the Rockhaven community in St. Louis, MO. She is a teacher and spiritual companion committed to fostering the sacred feminine dimension of the Divine and expanding one’s spirituality through evolutionary cosmology.
Commuters only; no overnight availability.
$75 per person, which includes meals beginning with supper at 5:00 pm on Friday, August 22. Please register online at shalomretreats.org or by calling 563.582.3592 by Friday, August 8.
