Ixchel Textiles: Backstrap Weaving Demonstration

Carmen will be demonstrating her backstrap weaving practice on Saturday, June 14th and July 12th during the Farmers and Makers Market on the front lawn of cSPACE.

As the founder of Ixchel Textiles, Carmen's work is rooted in the traditional Mesoamerican art of backstrap loom weaving—an intimate, embodied practice that connects her to ancestral knowledge, cultural memory, and the sacred feminine.

This event is free for all ages.
Parents must be present to supervise children under 10.
