Flamenco guitarist Melón Jimenez and flutist/bansuri player Lara Wong are redefining flamenco with a sound that flows through cultures and genres. Rooted in flamenco and infused with jazz, their music traces flamenco’s nomadic origins—from India to Africa to Latin America.

The trio is completed by George Crotty, a versatile cellist based in Toronto/NYC whose improvisational fire and global influences bring a fresh pulse to their flamenco-jazz dialogue

Melón has performed with Anoushka Shankar, Richard Bona, and Niña Pastori. Lara made history as the first foreigner to win Best Flamenco Instrumentalist at Spain’s Festival Cante de las Minas. Their debut album Confluencias was recently nominated for a Juno Award.
