Ever wondered what it’s like to wield a sword like a true knight or swashbuckler? Join us for an exciting introduction to historical European martial arts (HEMA) at the Phoenix Society! 🗡️

In this hands-on class, you’ll explore authentic, historically grounded fencing techniques preserved in text by the people who lived and died by them.

You’ll learn the fundamentals of the longsword, based on the teachings of medieval Italian knight and fencing master Fiore dei Liberi, along with introductory techniques for the rapier and sabre.

🕧 12:30 PM – 2:30 PM
🚪 Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to complete a safety waiver.
