Hello Seagirt and Hartwood!
Esa, Wulfgar and I are hosting a 'work on your kit' day at our home. Do you have some of your kit that needs some attention or upgrading? We want to enable you to get your kit in order.
We have tools for: Leather work, Wood Work, Armouring, Riveting, Blacksmithing, Arrow repair, Garment sewing, and more.
We also have marshals for Heavy and Archery so, we can also fill out the event with some practicing (and are willing to also have Rapier / Cut & Thrust if we have someone step up as marshal).
We can end the day with a BBQ - please bring a dish to share and we will be providing hotdogs, buns, and fixings.
The deets:
We live on a military base. There is a gate that is unoccupied and you can pass right through. The houses are on the left just past the fire warning sign. If you get to the second gate, just turn around and come back. Our house is #9, it's green and has a veggie garden in the front. Please park in that driveway, the driveway across the street at the garage or if the street starts getting crowded, we may ask you to park in the field down the road (it's a block away).
In our home is where you will find a restroom, refreshment and comfortable seating if being outside is too much or if you would like to sew or do leather working. We have a dog and a cat.
Pets: if you bring a pet, you must have it leashed.
Wildlife: We have wolves who frequent the area. If for some rare reason a wolf comes out during the daytime, leave it be and if it approaches, face it and stand your ground. They will leave. I don't believe this will happen but I mention this because we have had some training by WildWise on how to avoid any conflicts. It's important to us, we love the wolves.
Kids: We have a playground here, they're welcome to it.
Beach: There's a rocky (but nice) beach and you're welcome to go there, it is a fairly easy climb up and down using the rope for stability, but it *is* a climb.
