Join us for a special Matariki wānanga focused on Waitā - the star that represents the ocean and its abundance of fish, shellfish and seaweed.
This interactive workshop will be facilitated by renowned waterman Daniel Kereopa and held at the Kokiri Centre in Raglan. We'll explore the relationship between Matariki and the moana, covering tides, traditional navigation, ocean ecology and sustainable food gathering practices.
🌊 If weather allows, we’ll paddle the waka to harvest kai moana together.
Come along for kōrero, connection and learning grounded in te ao Māori and the natural rhythms of the ocean.
Light refreshments will be provided.
All are welcome - nau mai, haere mai!
