NL Honeybee Week is happening this month, and we are excited to welcome the Newfoundland & Labrador Beekeepers Association (NLBKA) to the Garden to celebrate!
Come by and visit with NLBKA volunteers in our Display Room from June 22-29, during our regular opening hours. They will have a booth set up with beekeeping information, honeybee facts, children's colouring sheets, and even demonstration and observation hives! This is a fantastic opportunity to see inside an active hive and truly appreciate the wonders of honeybee society.
Garden staff will contribute to the event with a selection of honeybee and native bee specimens for viewing under our Display Room microscope.
These activities are taking place in our Field Centre and are free to the public. However, if you wish to visit the gardens and trails (and our own honeybees!) payment of regular admission is required.
